titlepage + biblatex funktioniert nicht zusammen

Hallo zusammen,

die gleichzeitige Verwendung von dem Paket titlepage und biblatex ergibt die Fehlermeldung: "Undefined control sequence. \begin{document}."
Jeweils einzeln funktioniert alles problemfrei.

\usepackage[english]{babel}
\usepackage{blindtext}
\usepackage{titlepage}
\usepackage{biblatex}

Habe mit google dazu nichts finden können (wohl auch weil titlepage kaum verbreitet ist).

Ich erhalte mit und ohne Paket biblatex das gleiche Ergebnis und bekomme dabei auch nur eine Warnung wegen nicht geladenem Paket csquotes. Ohne das Paket titlepage erzeugt der Code aber natürlich einen Fehler, weil dann die Umgebung fullsizetitle nicht definiert ist.

Außerdem wäre es gut, wenn Du selbst angibst, dass Du die Frage auch auf tex.stackexchange.com gestellt hast: packages titlepage & biblatex doesn't work together

Kannst Du bitte ein \listfiles in Dein Beispiel einfügen und die Versionsliste vom Ende der Log-Datei und außerdem die Fehlermeldung ebenfalls als Code-Ausschnitt aus der log-Datei zeigen? Genau wie esdd kann ich nämlich das Problem weder mit

nachvollziehen.

Es sei darauf hingewiesen, dass leider diverse Editoren die Fehlermeldungen in ihren Übersichten durch Weglassen von Umbrüchen und Einrückungen so entstellen, dass nicht klar wird, welche Anweisung nicht definiert ist. Daher ist wichtig, dass man solche Fehlermeldungen aus der log-Datei nimmt und in Fragen ggf. in einer Code/Blockcode-Umgebung einfügt, um die Zeilenumbrüche und Einrückungen zu erhalten.

Ich muss mich leider etwas korrigieren.
Der Fehler tritt nur dann auf, wenn mittels babel zwei Sprachen geladen werden und gleichzeitig

Verwendung finden.
Zwei Sprachen + biblatex funktioniert, Zwei Sprachen + titlepage funktioniert ebenfalls, deutsche Sprache + titlepage + biblatex funktioniert auch nur zwei sprachen + titlepage + biblatex funktioniert bei mir nicht.

Ich kann das Problem auch mit zwei oder drei Sprachen, beispielsweise:

nicht nachvollziehen. Außerdem passt die Log-Datei nicht zum gezeigten Beispiel. Wie soll ich so irgend etwas sinnvolles dazu sagen?

Übrigens kann die Behauptung, dass das gezeigte Beispiel ohne titlepage funktioniert, gar nicht stimmen. Dann ist nämlich fullsizetitle nicht definiert.


Nachtrag: OK, wenn ich als Sprache nur british angebe, also mit

kann ich das Problem reproduzieren. Das Problem ist, dass biblatex unter bestimmten Umständen undefinierten Anweisungen zu Befehlen hinzufügt. Näheres dazu ist https://github.com/plk/biblatex/issues/894 zu entnehmen.

Hättest Du gleich ein korrektest Minimalbeispiel angegeben, hättest Du mir viel Zeit gespart. Ich verstehe nicht, warum Leute immer wieder bei den Minimalbeispielen tricksen. Das ist wirklich extrem nervig!

Das ist ein Bug in biblatex, der, nachdem Markus Kohm ihn freundlicherweise gemeldet hat, in https://github.com/plk/biblatex/commit/26c2072829d78447a9bb1931bd22662b3... behoben sein sollte. Bis die neue Version herauskommt, kann man sich mit

in der Präambel behelfen. Der Code ist aber unbedingt zu entfernen, wenn eine neue biblatex-Version veröffentlicht wird, daher wird er dann eine Fehlermeldung produzieren.

Das Problem lässt sich ferner vermeiden, wenn man zusätzlich zu british auch english lädt. Es tritt nämlich nur auf, wenn eine Sprache in der Vererbungskette nicht geladen wird und bei der Vererbung bestimmte Schritte übersprungen werden können (so erbt british die strings von english, aber die extras sind neu, daher werden die extras von english nie definiert; bei ngerman tritt das Problem nicht auf, da dort der Vererbungsgang leicht anders ist und sowohl die strings als auch die extras von german kommen). Bei diesem Workaround wäre es nicht so schlimm, wenn man vergisst, ihn nach dem Update rückgängig zu machen. Man muss nur auf die Reihenfolge achten oder die Hauptsprache explizit angeben, damit das nicht durcheinander kommt.

Danke für die schnelle Reaktion. Die Zusammenarbeit mit den biblatex-Entwicklern funktioniert wirklich erfreulich gut. Es hat schon seinen Grund, dass ich Benutzern alle Nase lang empfehle, das zu verwenden.
